The Che guevara gave his life to the revolutionary cause. Because of this, he will be tied to the Century XX history. Son of a wealthy family from Argentina, he chose the sacrifice, thinking about the pour people, farmers and workers, instead to live as rich man.
Since his youth, we can see him gests of altruism. He gave his own dust cover to a student, who used to go to the Scholl dressed in old and wasted shirts and trousers. Another time, in an iced winter night, he saw an old man on the street and despite he suffered from asthma; he took out his overcoat, and gave this to the man.
Nobody could say that this human being was a crazy man. According to Jhon Lee Anderson we can assure that in his youth, he did things that were next to the madness. Once she bought a bicycle and put it a very small engine, called “Cuchiolo”, to help him with the pedals. He travelled with this bike from Buenos Aires to the extreme North West in Argentina. We are talking about 3000 km or 1900 miles. A few years later he refused to be married with a wealthy young lady, that he really loves because he want to by a trailer and spend their life visiting South America on this vehicle. It was his youth.
After, he had finished his career as a doctor in medicine; he joined with a friend and left Buenos Aires to go to a leprosarium in order to contribute to the society. He began to feel and realize the sufferings of the pour people. He began to hate the powerful and riches men that explodes and humiliates the workers. His ideals became to overcome beyond the huge social inequality.
He used to distinguish, without doubts between the fascism from the General Peron, despite the welfare given by him, to the workers and the Socialist ideals, which went far away from the workers laws. Most of the laws given by Peron were given to stop the birth of a socialist mother land. Like in Italia or Germany.
He began a long travel within South America, crossing the Amazonian region and reaching Colombia. There, he was obliged to rest since have no visa to travel far away. In this circumstances, appeared a Captain of a merchant ship, who offer him a deal. He embarked and reached Panama with a visa.
From Panama, he went to Guatemala to see and work with the new government of Jacobo Arvenz. This president took ahead different socialist reforms such the land reform. The United Fruit Company from United Sate, ask the collaboration from his government to stop such indignity. Arvenz was defeated by a military knock on June 27 1954.
The CHE went to Mexico and get in contact con Fidel Castro and his brother Raul. Fidel propose him be par of the Cuban revolution but only as a Medical Doctor.
In 1956 an force composed by 82 men, disembarked on Cuba under heavy enemy fire. Only twelve men save their lives and 70 were killed during the disembarking.
Among the survivors, were the brothers Castro and Ernesto Che Guevara.
It is in Cuba, where we can appreciate the geniality of the CHE, like one of the best strategist men of the revolution. Loved and recognized by the Cuban people and their comrades Fidel Castro gave him the star of Commandant. The war was not kindly with him. He was injured several times and he run risk of life in other occasion.
Aun así, con su propia columna cruzo los distintos pueblos de la Isla para llegar finalmente a la ciudad de Santa Clara. Principio y fin del régimen de Batista. Cuando llego a Santa clara el Che solo contaba con un reducido parque de municiones, y una desigualad numérica de hombres de por lo menos 5 a 1.
He crossed the isle with his own column and finally reached the city of Santa Clara. When he arrived near Santa Clara the Che, only count with a reducing park of munitions and the regular army overcome in big quantity the number of guerrilla troopers. There were five regular soldiers per one guerrilla trooper.
The CHE, count on his reduced group of men and the back popular up, mainly given by the students and farmers. They took a railway convoy, which reached Santa Clara to help the regular army. In this way the CHE, had more arms and munitions that they were need and it decided the final combat. It was the end for regime “Batistiano”, many regular troops left the city and other were captured and joined to the guerrilla. This was the last battle. Batista and his regime of terror, had reached the end.
On January the first, 1959 the Commandant “Che” Guevara got in Santiago de Cuba. It was a memorable moment to him. He got a Cuban citizenship and began to be part of the Fidel’s Government. Anyway, he felt himself a citizen from the world, willing to fight for all pours in this planet. He was ordered to participate in the war of Angola in Africa.
Returning to Cuba, he has in his mind other big project. He carefully prepared a mission in Bolivia, to do the exactly the same, like in Cuba. But he was not lucky.
The failure of the CHE in Bolivia was very simple. People were not the same like in Cuba. The objective in Cuba was completely different. The Cuban people backed the revolution to defeat a dictatorial regime.
Not only Bolivian people were disappointed with the guerrilla, also nearby in Tucumán (Argentina), farmers see the guerrilla with the same eyes. The natives saw the communism as an estrange ideology and they avoid to join with the guerrilla. On the other hand, there is a theory that Bolivian Communist Party would betray Guevara.
This is my point of view. Wrong or not the CHE Guevara sacrificed his own life, trying to get the welfare for the farmer and workers. He never used to kill indefensible civilian people, he return the prisoners to Bolivian army.
The civilians nothing have to do with his demands, they were the cause o his life.
He was cowardly assassinated by the regular Bolivian army, following order from the CIA. There is a saying that expresses: “If the dog is death, there is no possible the rabies”. The order to execute the CHE was given by a young man from the CIA, which was following her since the war in Angola. He waited patiently for his man and had got his objective. He had hunt his prisoner in the Bolivian jungle, near the Higuera town.
